What is a client document portal?
A client portal brings files and conversations together in one folder. With DocBunker, a private link lets your client view and upload documents and leave comments.
Does my client need an account?
No. Recipients use the link you send them. The folder owner signs in to manage documents and links.
Where is my data hosted?
DocBunker is hosted on Cloudflare. The database and file storage are configured in the European Union jurisdiction. Cloudflare is a US company, so some technical transfers rely on the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses; the details are in the privacy policy.
Who can read my documents?
You, and the people you send the folder link to. DocBunker’s admin tool only shows metadata (accounts, file names and sizes, scan status), never the content of files or comments.
Can a client see my other clients’ folders?
No. Each link opens a single folder, never the list of your other folders or their documents.
What are the file limits?
Each folder can hold up to 50 files, with a maximum size per file of 25 MB (free plan), 250 MB (Pro) or 2 GB (Business). Files are scanned before they can be downloaded.
Can I disable a sharing link?
Yes. Links expire and can be revoked from the folder settings. Anyone holding an active link can access the folder, so share it only with intended recipients.
What happens to my documents if I delete a folder or cancel?
Deleting a folder also deletes its stored files. If you cancel, you move back to the free plan: your documents are kept, but you cannot add more while you are over its limits. A link expiring blocks your client’s access without deleting the folder.
How does file scanning work?
DocBunker looks for known threat signatures. Downloads remain blocked until the scan passes. No scanner can guarantee a file is safe; treat unexpected documents with care.
Can I track client activity?
The activity log records actions such as views and downloads. A sharing link alone does not establish the identity of the person using it.
